Dimosthenis Stamopoulos was born in 1973 in Aegio, Achaia. 1991-1996: B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). 1996-2001: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics, Scholar of Institute of Materials Science, National Centre of Scientific Research (NCSR) ‘Demokritos’ & School of Applied Mathematics and Physics, NTUA. Title of PhD thesis: "Phase diagram of vortex matter and irreversibility mechanisms in single crystals of YBa2Cu3O7 and HgBa2CuO4 superconductors". 2002-2003: Military service.
