Dr Vasileios (Vassilios) Nikolaou is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in Greece.
After completing his undergraduate medical and surgical training, Dr Nikolaou went on to complete postgraduate studies in multiple centers in Sweden, United Kingdom and Canada.
His fellowship training include a trauma fellowship in Leeds University (Leeds, UK), an arthroplasty fellowship in McGill University (Montreal Canada), two fellowships in Lower Extremity Adult Reconstruction - Revision arthroplasty in University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada) and a Spine and Scoliosis fellowship in McGill University (Montreal Canada).
Vassilios holds a PhD in Orthopaedics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master of Science in Experimental Surgery, from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
He has published more than 130 peer reviewed publications and 17 book chapters in Orthopaedic related books. Also, he has given more than 250 national and international research presentations. He is member of the editorial board in multiple international journals.
His clinical practice combines lower extremity adult reconstruction surgery, adult spine surgery and trauma surgery.
