I have a BA from the Economics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and a Ph.D. from the Economics Department of Columbia University, New York, USA, with specialization in theoretical and applied econometrics.

From 1998 to 2003 I was Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Florida International University (part of the State University system of Florida) in Miami, USA, where I taught undergraduate and graduate econometrics and statistics and graduate time series analysis.

In 2005 I became associate professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Peloponnese,and in July 2009 full professor at the same department. I served as Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Peloponnese from 2013 until 2021.

From March 2021 I became full professor at the Department of Business Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I also serve as Deputy Director at the Research Centre for Economic Analysis and as Co-Editor to the Review of Economic Analysis.

My current research interests are in the area of forecasting and time series analysis, quantitative investment strategies and statistical and probabilistic inference in decision making.
