It is a&lt;br&gt;significant social and economic problem, which makes research on land and water&lt;br&gt;management necessary. Monitoring of erosion is needed in order to predict the&lt;br&gt;development of the incident and moderate it.&lt;br&gt;The selected study area is the Syros Island, a small Cycladic island. In order to&lt;br&gt;assess erosion risk index, a number of effective factors were used. These factors&lt;br&gt;were used as input variables of the risk model, from which derived the output&lt;br&gt;variable that lead to the production of the erosion risk map.&lt;/p&gt;</style></abstract></record></records></xml>
