Lina Michala _Associate Professor

I am an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the lead in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to this I trained in general O&G in the UK and completed a clinical fellowship in PAG at University London Hospitals, under the mentorship of Professor Sarah Creighton.

My main research interests include Premature Ovarian Insufficiency, Functional Hypothalamic Amenorrhoea, Differences of Sex Development (DSD), late cancer effects in adolescents and young women, Child Sexual Assault, STIs in Adolescence, MRKH and other Congenital anomalies. 80% of my clinical workload is in PAG, including operating for congenital uterovaginal anomalies and Feminising surgery in adolescence and  adulthood. 

I have published extensively in my discipline and I am committed in propagating knowledge in PAG, through teaching and training.

I hold a PhD in Reproductive Medicine from the University of Athens and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

I am fluent in Greek, English, French, Spanish and Italian. I also have a working knowledge of German.
