This course is an introduction to the ancient Greek language and follows on from Greek I (Greek for Beginners I). It includes study of grammar and syntax and reading of selected texts. Students will be provided with the knowledge of Classical Greek language and principles of sentence construction sufficient to translate simple passages of Greek prose into English. The course will be assessed through a two-hour written exam at the end of the semester.
