Εισαγωγή στη Λατινική Γραμματεία. Βασικά λογοτεχνικά είδη και εκπρόσωποι. Επισκόπηση της Ρωμαϊκής ιστορίας και η σημασία της ιστορικής πραγματικότητας για την εμφάνιση των λογοτεχνικών ειδών. Επανάληψη επιλεγμένων ενοτήτων του λατινικού συντακτικού (μετοχές, δευτερεύουσες προτάσεις, πλάγιος λόγος) και ενίσχυση του λατινικού λεξιλογίου με ασκήσεις και κείμενα. 

Introduction to Latin Literature.  Basic literary genres and representatives.  Survey of Roman literary history and the importance of the historical moment and politics to the emergence and development of literarature and specific genres. 
Review of selective concepts of latin syntax (participles, subordinate clauses, indirect discourse) and review of basic Latin vocabulary and translation practices, through exercises and readings of unseen passages.
