Angélica Alexopoulou is Assistant professor of Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Spanish Language and Literature School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics (University of Athens), a DEA in Linguistics (Université Paris-Sorbonne, Paris IV), and a BA in French Language and Literature (University of Athens). She teaches several undergraduate courses in Spanish language and linguistics in her department. She also teaches at the Hellenic Open University. Her research interests are in the fields of applied linguistics (teaching Spanish as a foreign language), error analysis (with emphasis on written learner language), language assessment, text linguistics, pragmatics. She has participated in several national and EU-funded projects in the areas of language assessment and curriculum development. She is the author of Fundamentos de lingüística aplicada a la enseñanza de ELE (Αθήνα: Συμμετρία, 2017) and Análisis de errores en la interlengua de aprendientes griegos de español (Madrid: Ediciones Clásicas, 2005). She has edited the volume Tendencias y líneas de investigación en lingüística aplicada a la enseñanza de ELE (Madrid: Ediciones Clásicas, 2018).. She has published several scholarly articles in congress proceedings, as well as in journals in Spain, South America, France and Greece, such as her Revista de Lingüística Aplicada (Chile), Estudios de Lingüística Aplicada (México), Revista española de Lingüística Aplicada (Spain), Porta Linguarum (Spain), Estudios de Lingüística Aplicada, Studies in Contrastive Linguistics. Proceedings of the 4th International Contrastive Linguistics Conference (Santiago de Compostela, Spain), 16ο Congreso Internacional de la Asociación Internacional de Hispanistas (Paris, France), Revista Nebrija de Lingüística Aplicada (Spain), Cahiers du GERES (France), etc. She is a member of AESLA (Asociación Española de Lingüística Aplicada), AIH (Asociación Internacional de Hispanistas), ASELE (Asociación de Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera),  GALA (Greek Association of Applied Linguistics) and EDISO (Asociación de Estudios sobre Discurso y Sociedad).
