Short Bio

Antonia Sarri is Assistant Professor of Greek Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Greek Philology, School of Philosophy. Before that, she has worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester, Department of Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology and Egyptology in the AHRC project "Ancient Letter Collections" (2016-2021), and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Institute for Papyrology and in the project SFB 933 “Materiale Textkulturen” (2011-2015). She holds an MA in Classics and a PhD in Papyrology-Classics from University College London. Her PhD studies were funded by Greek Scholarship Foundation Scholarship (IKY). She has a first class honours degree in Classical Philology from the University of Athens.
She has taught at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Manchester, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and University College London.
Her research interests include Papyrology, Palaeography, Epistolography, Materiality, Textual Criticism, Transmission and Reception of Classical Greek Texts, Xenophon and Ancient Epistolary Collections.
