Dr. Vatsanidou Anna, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Development, Agrofood and Management of Natural Resources of EKPA with the subject of Precision Agriculture and Sustainable Production. She is an Agriculturist with postgraduate studies in integrated agricultural production systems and a PhD from the University of Thessaly (Department of Crop Production and Rural Environment / Agricultural Engineering) in assessing the environmental sustainability of the use of new technologies in the agricultural sector. She is a Doctor of the University of Thessaly, Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment, direction in Agricultural Engineering, and holds a PhD titled: Environmental Assessment of New Technologies: Two case studies, in a pear orchard and in energy crops. Dr. Vatsanidou has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Center for Research and Technological Development (CERTH), Institute of Agrotechnology & Bio-Economics (IBO) having as research object: Environmental footprint assessment in the agri-food sector as well as the method of analysis Associate - researcher at the Agricultural University of Athens, the University of Thessaly and the Benakeio Phytopathological Institute in matters of evaluation of precision farming technologies and techniques and environmental sustainability assessment in the agri-food sector. Dr. Vatsanidou participated in several European research projects, such as (FutureFarm, RoboFarm, PEFMED, Mels, Milkey, PoliRural, Organic Plus, DITECT, Zeroparasitic) as well as national projects of GGEK (Nexus, SmartOliveGrove, SmartPeach).Her scientific and research interests focus on the evaluation and development of precision agricultural techniques as well as the evaluation and analysis of environmental footprint concerning the whole production and processing chain of agri-food sector using the life cycle analysis (LCA) method.
