Dr Konstantinos Petsios is an Assistant Professor in Paediatric Nursing in the Faculty of Nursing in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
His first Master of Health Science was in Clinical Nursing, specialized in oxygen therapy in children (2004) and his PhD was in Pediatric Nursing specialized in the Quality of Life in children with asthma. In 2019 he graduated a second Master in Health Management & Public Health.
He has worked in the “Onassis” Cardiac Surgery Center as Head of Clinical Research Office and Audit of Clinical Outcome and as a Paediatric Nursi in the Paediatric CICU for more than 15 years.
He has been Lecturer (407/80) in Pediatric Nursing and Clinical Nursing Assessment in the University of Athens (NKUA) (2010-2012) and University of Peloponnese (2018-2019), respectively. He lectures Paediatric Nursing in the Nursing Department of the Frederick University (Nicosia, Cyprus) since the Academic Year 2020-2021till today. He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice as an emergency care nurse, paediatric intensive care nurse and researcher/scientific collaborator. He has been clinical educator in the Faculty of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 2002. He is also serving as an invited Lecturer in postgraduate level in Master Programs held by the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the West Attica University.
He is the current General Secretary of the Directory Board of Hellenic Nurses’ Association (HNA) and he serves as a Counselor of the Pediatric Sector and the Emergency and Intensive Care Sector of the HNA. He is also the former Deputy Coordinator of the Pediatric Nursing Associations of Europe (PNAE). And he represents HNA in the ICN Meetings and in a several other European Associations (EFN, ESPNIC,etc).
He has several publications in international and Greek medical journals and textbooks (Web of Science Researcher ID O-5035-2019, ORCID 0000-0002-7962-040X, Scopus Author ID: 14033189100).
