Eleftherios Paraskevopoulos is Assistant Professor of Sports Physiotherapy, elected in January 2025, at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He graduated in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, UK, on a scholarship awarded by the Schilizzi Foundation (In Memory of Elefthérios and Helena Venizélos). He completed a Master's degree at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, University of Thessaly, graduating top of his class, and subsequently earned his PhD and completed postdoctoral research at the Department of Physiotherapy, University of West Attica.

He has teaching experience in undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional development programmes at the University of West Attica, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of the Peloponnese, and the University of Thessaly. He has also taught at international seminars in France and within the European EUNICE programme.

Since 2018, he has served as the physiotherapist for the Greek National Rowing Team and has also collaborated with the Greek National Canoe-Kayak Team.

His research focuses on sports rehabilitation. He serves as a reviewer for more than 30 international scientific journals, including BMJ, International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching, and Physiotherapy Theory and Practice, and is a member of the Editorial Board of PLOS ONE. He has contributed to academic textbooks in physiotherapy and sports science, presented his research at national and international conferences, and is a member of several scientific societies, including the International Rock Climbing Research Association (IRCRA).
