Associate Lecturer

Emmanouil Aretoulakis is tenured Lecturer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, where he teaches English Fiction, Poetry, and contemporary Theory. He is author of Forbidden Aesthetics, Ethical Justice, and Terror in Modern Western Culture (Lexington, USA, 2016), Terrorism and Literariness (Hellenic Academic Libraries, 2015), Artificial Natures, Unnatural Desires and the Unconscious Other (Saarbrucken, Scholar’s Press, 2015), editor of a special volume of Contemporary Aesthetics on aesthetics and terrorism (2019), and co-editor of Ruins in the Literary and Cultural Imagination (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). He has also published various articles in peer-and blind-reviewed academic journals such as Katherine Mansfield Studies, Philosophy and Literature, and European Journal of English Studies.
