Formation of strategic directives aiming to future cooperation in the SE European/Balkan Peninsula and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin within the European Programmes of Interregional Cooperation of the European Committee and other European Initiatives

1. A first level approach of geopolitical risks affecting cooperation activities and initiatives on an interregional level in the Balkan Peninsula and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin.
2. SWOT/PESTEL analysis of Balkan / Eastern Med geographical clusters identifying major geopolitical risks.
3. Insights on a possible cooperation scheme, between the Balkan region and the Eastern Mediterranean, based on the conclusions from objective 1.
4. Cooperation possibilities and synergies between the Balkan region and the Eastern Mediterranean, with special focus on the support of EU policy implementation and know how transfer to non-EU countries. Of particular interest in this context is the implementation of the Green Deal policy initiatives in distant geographical areas, especially in relation to know-how transfer that will support and provide a link for fostering higher level EU strategies.
5. Tie-in actions between Balkan countries and Eastern Mediterranean countries in thematic key areas, risks identification for policy implementation based on probability and severity - recommended mitigation measures
