Dr. John D. Alexopoulos is a Professor in Applied Geophysics - Engineering & Environmental Geophysics, at the Department of Geology & Geoenvironment, School of Science, in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He is the Director of Geophysical Laboratory at the Department of Geology & Geoenvironment, Sect. of Geophysics & Geothermics (NKUA) since September 2021.
He is the Vice-President of the Department of Geology & Geoenvironment (NKUA) since September 2022.
He holds a BSc in Geology (NKUA) and a PhD in Geophysics - Environmental Geology.
His main scientific interest is focused in applied geophysics and he is specialized in the application of several geophysical techniques for defining the geotechnical, geological, stratigraphical, hydrogeological, archaeological, etc, subsurface status.
