Dr. Ioannis ALEXOPOULOS is an Assistant Professor in Applied Geophysics-Engineering & Environmental Geophysics, at the Faculty of Geology & Geoenvironment, Dpt. Geophysics & Geothermics. He holds a BSc in Geology (NKUA) and a PhD in Geophysics-Environmental Geology. His main scientific interest is focused in applied geophysics and he is specialized in the application of several geophysical techniques for defining the geotechnical, geological, stratigraphical and hydrogeological subsurface status. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in international journals and proceedings of international conferences. Moreover, he has been participated in more than 60 applied research projects (funded by international and national organizations) and technical reports since 1986. His work has been referenced more than 30 times. He teaches at undergraduate and graduate classes and more than 20 students fulfilled their diploma thesis under his supervision for the last 10 years.
