Lambros Sarakis received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 1996, the M.Sc. degree in communications and signal processing from Imperial College London, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from NTUA, in 2002. From 2004 to 2010, he served as an Assistant Researcher with the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos,” Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, Greece. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests include 5G networks, sensor, mobile ad-hoc and vehicular networks, communication systems for smart grids, and mobility management in heterogeneous wireless networks. He has over 60 publications in edited books, journals, and conference proceedings in the above areas. He has participated in several research projects at national and international scale in research and management capacities, and has served on the technical program or organizing committee of several conferences and workshops.
