Dr. Nikolaos Afratis is Assistant Professor in Department of Agricultural Development, Agrofood and Management of Natural Resources of NKUA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He has previously worked as postdoctoral researcher in Weizmann Institute of Science, in Israel (Laboratory of Prof. Irit Sagi)and in Biotech Research & Innovation Centre, in Copenhagen (Laboratory of Prof. John Couchman). He has extensive research experience in pathophysiology of extracellular matrix in diseases correlated with fibrosis and cancer. He has more than 20 publications in international peer reviewed journals (h-Index 17). He was co-editor of the book “Methods in Molecular Biology-Collagen” of Springer Publishing group and he owns 3 international patents. He is European Registered Toxicologist (ERT)
