The TACT study aims to investigate how student teacher candidates develop their ‘assessment literacy’ over the course of their teacher education programme and into the first one/ two years of their classroom practice as beginning teachers. The TACT project seeks to contribute to our understanding of the development of teacher assessment capability through a focus on the nature of assessment education in initial teacher education programmes and their impacts, in a number of countries (including New Zealand, Denmark, Hong Kong, Greece, Canada, Australia and the United States). The intention is learn about assessment education through the sharing and analysis of current practice and its impacts.
