Short CV

PANAGIOTIS K. GKONIS is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Digital Industry Technologies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He received the Diploma Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and PhD degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering School of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He has also received the MSc in Engineering-Economic Systems Programme from NTUA, in 2009. From 2010 to 2015 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Intelligent Communications and Broadband Networks Laboratory (ICBNET) of NTUA. Moreover, he has also served as Scientific/Laboratory Associate of the former Technological Institute of Sterea Ellada, in the Departments of Electrical and Aircraft Engineering, respectively. He is an author/co-author of more than seventy (80) scientific publications in international journals, scientific conferences and book chapters, in the areas of wireless networks, broadband communications as well as computational modelling of cellular networks. As a researcher, he has participated in various national and European funded projects.
