Rea Delveroudi is Professor of General linguistics-History of linguistic ideas in the Department of French Language and Literature-National and Capodistrian University of Athens.
Her research interest include syntax and semantics of Modern Greek and French, Contrastive linguistics, History of linguistics and linguistic ideas in Greece (18th-19th c.), History of MG grammars, Language policies (MG language question, MG dialects, purism, multilingual policies), Language contact (the MG variety in Egypt), Sociolinguistics and language teaching, Multilingualism and intercomprehension
