Stefan Lindinger hat an der Universität Regensburg Deutsche Philologie, Geschichte und Latein studiert. Danach absolvierte er das Ph.D.-Programm der Abteilung für Deutsche Philologie der University of Chicago. Gleichzeitig war er Lektor (DaF) am College der University of Chicago, danach Lektor (DaF) an der Germanistischen Abteilung der Università degli Studi di Pisa und schließlich DAAD-Lektor am Fachbereich für deutsche Sprache und Literatur der Nationalen und Kapodistrias-Universität Athen. Derzeit ist er Assistant Professor für Neuere Deutsche Literatur am Fachbereich für deutsche Sprache und Literatur der Universität Athen. Seine wissenschafliches Interesse gilt der Literatur und Literaturgeschichte vom 18. bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Διετέλεσε Λέκτορας για τα Γερμανικά ως Ξένη Γλώσσα (DaF) στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Σικάγο αρχικά και κατόπιν στο Τμήμα Γερμανικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου της Pisa (Iταλία), όπως επίσης και Λέκτορας της Γερμανικής Υπηρεσίας Ακαδημαϊκών Ανταλλαγών (DAAD) στο Τμήμα Γερμανικής Γλώσσας και Φιλολογίας του ΕΚΠΑ. Σήμερα είναι επίκουρος καθηγητής στο ίδιο τμήμα. Τα επιστημονικά του ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν την Λογοτεχνία και την Ιστορία της Λογοτεχνίας από τον 18ο έως τα μισά του 20ου αιώνα.
Stefan Lindinger has studied German philology, history and Latin at the University of Regensburg. After that, he completed the Ph.D. program in the Department of German Philology at the University of Chicago while teaching 'German as a Foreign Language' at the College of this university. He then worked as a Lecturer of 'German as a Foreign Language' at the German Department of the Università degli Studi di Pisa, and later as an Exchange Lecturer (supported by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD) at the Department of German Language and Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor of German Literature at the University of Athens. His research focus is upon literature as well as the history of literature from the 18th to the middle of the 20th centuries.
