Prof. Theodore Zahariadis is Full Professor and the Department Head of the Agricultural Development, Agri-Food and Natural Resources Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

He has received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece. 

He has been a Full Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of Technical Educational Institute (TEI) of Chalkida and TEI of Sterea Ellada and Department form 2016 till 2019. He has been also the Head and Director of the MSc Course "Intelligent Management of Renwable Energy Systems" from 2014 till 2016.

Since 1995, he has been with Lucent Technologies/Bell-Laboratories, NJ as a Senior Consultant, Ellemedia Technologies S.A. as the Technical Director, Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) as Chief Engineer, Synelixis Solutions S.A. as Senior Technical Manager. Since 1994, he has participated in more than 40 European Commission funded projects in the ACTS, ESPRIT, IST, FP7,  H2020 and Horizon Europe programs as Researcher, Senior Researcher, Technical Coordinator or Project Coordinator.

Prof. Zahariadis has published more than 200 papers in magazines, journals and conferences and he is the author/editor of four books and many book chapters. His scientific work has more than 3500 references (Google Scholar h-index: 34). He has been a reviewer and principal guest editor in many IEEE and ACM journals and magazines and he is a Technical Editor of the IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine. Since 2001, he is assigned as an evaluator of EC IST/ICT proposals and reviewer/rapporteur in many EC projects. He is a member of the IEEE and the Technical Chamber of Greece.
