Bio

Anthoula Papageorgiou studied physics and materials science in London, Cambridge and Thessaloniki. She obtained a chemistry PhD in 2007 from University College London under the supervision of Prof. Geoff Thornton (Nanoscience Group). She subsequently took a research appointment mentored by Prof. Richard Lambert (Surface Science and Catalysis Group) in the University of Cambridge. In 2010 she moved to the Technical University of Munich to work with Prof. Johannes Barth (Chair of Molecular Nanoscience and Chemical Physics of Interfaces) as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow. She habilitated in the same department in 2019. In 2022 she was appointed in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
