Hello! I am Professor of Operations Research in the Section of Statistics and Operations Research at the Department of Mathematics, University of Athens, Greece. I received the BSc in Mathematics from the University of Athens (1993) and the MA in Pure Mathematics (1994) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I then shifted to Applied Mathematics and in particular to Operations Research and Applied Probability and received the MSc in Statistics and OR (1997) and PhD in Mathematics (1998) both from the University of Athens. My research interests lie in the areas of Operations Research and Applied Probability with side interests in Social and Economic Networks and Mathematical Biology. In particular my main interests concern computational, comparison, optimization and game theoretic aspects of the study of stochastic systems with discrete units with applications mainly in queueing theory.
