Emmanuel P. Perselis is Professor of Theory and Practice of Christian Religious Education at the School of Theology, Department of Social Theology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Divinity (B.D.) from the School of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master’s of Arts degree (M.A.) in Religious Education and a Doctor’s of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) both from the Department of Religious Studies of Lancaster University, U.K.
His research interests focus mainly on the Philosophy of Religious Education, Theology and Religious Education, School Curriculum and Religious Education in Modern Pluralistic and Multicultural Societies, Human and Religious Development of Young People, etc.
He has been involved in the Ecumenical movement as a member of several commissions of the World Council of Churches (WCC) since 1992.
In the year 2008 he was awarded a scholarship from the Fulbright Foundation and he spent three months as a Senior Research Scholar at Harvard University, Divinity School, Program in Religious Studies and Education.
