Bibliography of Modern Greek Grammars

The Bibliography of Modern Greek Grammars is a collection of the grammars of Modern Greek that were published or compiled from the 16th to the middle of the 20th century, i.e. from the first known grammar of Nikolaos Sofianos, written around the middle of the 16th century and published in 1870, until the publication of the Modern Greek Grammar of M. Triantafyllidis in 1949.

The work is divided into two parts: a) The "Catalogue of Grammars" presents in chronological order the catalogued grammars with their bibliographical data and a link to their digitized form, if available. b) The 'Detailed description' is an extensive analysis of some of these grammars (e.g. biographical details of the author, terminology, influences, impact, dissemination, etc.). This part is bilingual, Greek and French, and is linked to the European project Corpus de Textes Linguistiques Fondamentaux (CTLF - http://ctlf.ens-lyon.fr/), an international bibliographic database of different grammatical traditions.
