Le Dico des faux-amis

Le Dico des faux-amis is an online dictionary that lists and describes the false-friends between French and Greek.
This dictionary aims to form a useful tool for the teaching/learning of the foreign language (French or Greek) and for translation (from and into French).
This original on-going lexicographical project started from the BA course "Translation from Greek into French" (academic year 2018-2019) and is constantly enriched by the students of the Department of French Language and Literature.

Polychromo

POLYCHROMO is an online dictionary created with the aim of systematically collecting, recording and describing the expressions formed on the basis of colour terms in Modern Greek and their correlation with corresponding expressions in other languages.

Short Forms Beyond Borders

With the "Short Forms Beyond Borders (SFBB)" project, we intend to work collaboratively on short forms as a tool for cultural, educational and social mediation in Europe. The relevance of short forms is becoming more and more visible in today's society. Brevity is becoming a way of doing things, a question of time and style, indeed of thinking (as in Twitter). Examples of short forms include short videos, text messages, short stories, Instagram stories, sound fragments, television series, short speeches, sales pitches, news briefs, slogans etc.

The Greek Crisis Multilingual Term Project

The Greek Crisis Multilingual Term Project (GCMTP) is a multilingual term base on the economic crisis in Greece.
Creating this term base began in October 2011 and was completed in June 2013. Whilst originally focusing on the language pair Greek/German the term base was subsequently extended – in cooperation with other contributing parties – to cover another five languages, namely English, French, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.
