Marie-Christine ANASTASSIADI is an associate professor in intercultural studies and translation in the Department of French Language and Literature of UoA. Anastassiadi’s research interests revolve around the intercultural dimension of the translation teaching as well as the intercultural dimension of children’s literature. At undergraduate and postgraduate levels, she teaches the intercultural dimension of foreign language learning. With the professor Emmanuel VERNADAKIS http://www.univ-angers.fr/fr/_plugins/mypage/mypage/content/emmanuel.vernadakis.html, she is the director of the French-hellenic joint master “The foreign language teaching in Europe: the education in language and cultural diversity of school populations”. She also coordinates the modules “Intercultural Education” and “Written skills in French as a foreign language” of the prostgraduate specialization for French teachers of the Hellenic Open University. She has also participated as a trainer and education material maker in the major training project addressed to all the school teachers organized by the Greek Ministry of Education in 2010. She is the author of four books, several translations (from Greek to French and from French to Greek) and of many articles revolving around the intercultural studies, the children’s literature and the translation. She is director and member of several directoral thesis as well as member of many international conferences' scientific committees.
