Short resume
Sotirios (Sotiris) Drikos is a teacher of Physical Education, he holds an MSc specialising in coaching sports and a Ph.D. in Sports and data analysis. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Physical Education and Sports Science at, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has published several articles in scientific journals and proceedings of scientific congresses. He has presented topics relating to physical education, data analysis, talent identification and sports games at Greek and international scientific conferences. Also, he has contributed as a writer or an editor to books and proceedings of Scientific congresses. He is a member of the academic group Sports Analytics at the Athens University of Economics & Business.
In the professional stage of Sports, Sotirios Drikos served as head coach of the Greek Men National Team from 2013 until 2016 and guided NT to the silver medal of the Euro League 2014 and the bronze medal in the World League 2016 Group 3. His role in the Greek National Federation included duties as the technical director of Greek’s youth teams and coordination of the technical staff for all male national teams. He has worked in several teams in the A1 Men’s division and claimed two Greek cups and one championship.
