Spyridon Mavridis es Profesor Asistente en Literatura Hispanoamericana Contemporánea en el Departamento de Lengua y Literaturas Hispánicas, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional y Kapodistríaka de Atenas. También imparte asignaturas de Literatura Hispanoamericana en la Universidad Abierta de Grecia. Su principal línea de investigación es el Teatro Hispanoamericano contemporáneo.

Ha participado en varios congresos internacionales y publicado ponencias y artículos en revistas, actas y publicaciones colectivas. Es autor de la monografía Aproximación al teatro de Roberto Arlt. Poética e intertextualidades (Madrid, Ediciones del Orto 2016) y traductor al griego de la colección de cuentos La otra orilla de Julio Cortázar y del Teatro Completo del mismo autor argentino (Atenas, Bibliothèque, 2015 & 2017)

Spyridon Mavridis is Assistant professor of Contemporary Hispanic Literature. Theatre at the Faculty of Spanish Language and Literature, School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He holds a PhD in Spanish and Latin American Literature (University of Salamanca, Spain), a MSA in Latin American Literature (University of Salamanca, Spain), a MA in Latin American Studies (University of Salamanca, Spain), a BA in Spanish and Latin American Literature (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece) and a BA in Library Science (Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece).

In 2019 he was elected as Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish Language and Literature of the University of Athens where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Spanish and Latin American Literature in his department. Since 2012 he also teaches Latin American Literature at the Hellenic Open University.

He has participated in various scientific conferences and has published articles concerning the results of his researches. He is the author of Aproximación al teatro de Roberto Arlt. Poética e intertextualidades (Madrid, Ediciones del Orto 2016) and he has translated in Greek language Julio Cortázar’s short stories book (La otra orilla/ The other side) and his complete theatre (Athens, Bibliothèque, 2015 & 2017)

His research interests are in the fields of Latin American Literature theatre and narrative.
