Anna Tsiboukli, Assistant Professor, Life Long Learning, Group Dynamics and Adult Education is an Educator and a Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and member of the Association of Greek Psychologists, who writes, researches, teaches and consults about adult development, continuous professional development, group dynamics and life long learning in group and organisational levels. Her work explores changes and transformations at individual, group and organisational level and the ways at which lifelong learning and adult education can support these. Her area of expertise include lifelong learning, adult learning, drug and alcohol prevention and intervention in adolescence and adulthood, group dynamics in education and elsewhere and consultation for continuous professional development and change in organisational settings. She received her PhD from the Institute of Education, University of London, in 1995. From January 2000 to February 2003, she carried out her post-doctoral research as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London, on assessment of training programmes for mental health professionals. She has also been trained by Harold Bridger, founder of Tavistock Institute of Human Relations at group psychodynamics in organisational settings. From her role as KETHEA Head of Education, where she worked for almost 30 years, Dr. Tsiboukli contributed to the development of research and training programmes for drug treatment and prevention staff and had the opportunity to work extensively with the Department of Psychiatry, University of California, San Diego, for the implementation in Greece, for 20 consecutive years, of the training programme “Addiction Counselling Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes in Professional Practice”. From 2014 she works closely with the School of Law, Artistotle Universtity of Thessaloniki and the Department of Law, Nicosia University for the development and implementation of the Joint MSc Course, Penal Law and Addictions. From 2003, is the co-Editor of the peer review journal, member of Scopus Group, Exartiseis (https://exartiseis.gr). Dr. Tsiboukli, is also a member of the International Editorial Committee of the journal Drugs: Education, Prevention and Policy and voting member of the International Society of Addiction Journals Editors (ISAJE), in the Board of which, she served for six years. She is also a founding member of the Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria branch of the International Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drugs Board (www.icrcaoda.com). She is also a board member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals - ISSUP, Greece Chapter ( https://www.issup.net/national-chapters/issup-greece/). Dr. Tsiboukli, has participated in several research projects funded by the EU (Erasmus+), including the development of training programmes for Community Animators (https://comanity-project.eu) and the Digital Inclusion of Socially Vulnerable Groups (https://medici-project.eu). The last twenty years, Dr. Tsiboukli also teaches Adult Education Methods at the Hellenic Open University's (www.eap.gr), post-graduate MA course on “Adult Education”. Her research papers, book chapters and books, are available in Greek and international publications. For her overall contribution in the field of non-formal and informal staff training, in year 2019, Dr. Tsiboukli received from the European Federation of Therapeutic Communities the Eric Broekaert Award.
