Eleni Tziafa is an Associate Professor of Translation at the Department of French Language and Literature, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (ΦΕΚ Γ΄ 463/23.02.2023). Her field of specialisation is Translation, Corpus Processing and Digital Multimedia.
Her research focuses on translation technology, corpus-based approaches to translation and terminology, artificial intelligence and large language models in translator education and professional practice, audiovisual translation, and critical discourse analysis. She also develops corpora and browser-based tools for translation, terminology and language analysis.
Her teaching covers translation theory and practice, translation technology, audiovisual translation, digital humanities and research methodology, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her work combines academic research, translator education and the development of open-access digital resources.
