RSFAT archaeological field school 2015


The RSF Archaeological Trust is pleased to invite students to take a part in our extended deadline sessions which are open till the end of June 2015. We're glad to accept applications for the following projects:

Archaeological Field School at Parthicopolis (Bulgaria)

We are still accepting applications for ARCS Summer Archaeology Program (see description below). Note that the submission deadline has been extended to March 1, 2015. Please bring this notice to the attention of your students.

Iklaina Excavation is seeking students

The Iklaina Excavation is seeking students and volunteers for the 2015 field season (June 15-July 5).  Iklaina is a Mycenaean town in the region of Pylos, identified in the Linear B tablets as a-pu2, one of the district capitals of the Hither Province (AJA 2006, pp. 205-228). The project includes excavation, travel to local sites and museums,  and evening classes and seminars on Greek culture, history, and archaeology.  Students can receive 6 credits through the department of Anthropology at the University of Missouri-St.

2015 Archaeological Field School in Turkey

In 2015 we will be celebrating 10 years of archaeological Research at the Roman-era city of Antiochia ad Cragum on the south coast of Turkey.  And for the fifth season, we will be conducting a field school where students and volunteers can learn archaeology in a Mediterranean setting.

Internships at Agora excavations

Archaeological Conservation Summer Internships
Agora Excavations (2 positions)
American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA)

The ASCSA Agora Excavations are offering 2 Archaeological
Conservation Internships for the 2015 summer excavations.

The internships will give students an opportunity to treat freshly
excavated archaeological finds and to participate in an active
on-site conservation laboratory.  An introduction to the
re-treatment, preventive and long-term care of archaeological
collections will also be provided.
