Excavation and Survey Experience

• Since 2011 director of the excavation of the University of Athens in Tell Nader and Tell Baqrta in the Kurdistan Region in Iraq.
• In December 2013 Consultant of the Directorate of Antiquities of Erbil for its first rescue excavations, which were conducted in Pungina and Gird Baxcan.
• Between 2003-2007 co-director of the systematic field survey in the region of the Demos of Halasarna, as a post-doc researcher in the Programme PYTHAGORAS Ι (director: G. Kokkorou-Alevras).
• In 2007 and 2008 participation as a trench master in the excavation of the German Archaeological Institute in Kalapodi (director: W.-D. Niemeier).
• As an undergraduate and postgraduate student participation in many excavation and field surveys: in rescue excavations of the 9^th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities in Thebes, Akraiphia and Mavromati (1994 and 1996), in the rescue excavation of the Landesdenkmalamt in the celtic burial in Rottenburg, Germany (1995), in the field survey of the University of Cambridge and Durham University in Boeotia (1994 and 1995), in the excavation of the University of Athens in Yria on Naxos (1996) and in Halasarna on Kos (1992-1998, 2001-2006), as well as in the field survey of the University of Tübingen in Lycia, Turkey (1999).
