Fondationsante-Scholarship Recipients
We are thrilled to announce that Stella Vassalou, a PhD student of our laboratory, has been awarded the Sidney Altman Scholarship by Fondation Sante! This scholarship will support her research regarding cerebellar ataxia with neuropathy and vestibular areflexia syndrome (CANVAS), a newly characterized neurological disorder that affects balance and movement coordination. Stella’s work aims to improve our understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms that are implicated in the manifestation of CANVAS. We congratulate her on this recognition of her research efforts and look forward to the exciting discoveries that lie ahead!
