Eleni-Dimitra has completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Biology at the NKUA. She recently obtained her Ph.D., for which she was awarded a doctoral scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), and nowadays she continues to work as a postdoctoral researcher in the MCAC group. She excels in studying the regulation of functional proteostatic modules in aging and cancer. She has a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, cell culturing, Drosophila handling and bioimaging, while she is also very experienced in analyzing blood samples from large human cohorts. She has participated in several collaborative EU-funded projects focusing on the bio-evaluation of natural products. Eleni-Dimitra is an author of several research articles in high ranking journals, while she has successfully presented her work in national and international conferences.
