Sentiljana Gumeni
Sentiljana has completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Padova, Italy. She has more than 10 years of research experience with a solid background in cellular and molecular biology techniques, genetics, cell culturing, Drosophila handling and bioimaging. Her post-doctoral portfolio includes part-time employment in a large Greek pharmaceutical company and fruitful participation in Greece- or EU-funded research projects. She is currently completing her fifth year as a postdoctoral researcher along the side of Professor Trougakos and she has recently been awarded a Postdoctoral Research Scholarship by the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), which is co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund-ESF) through the Operational Program “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020”. Sentiljana presents a high record of publishing in high impact scientific journals and she has considerable experience in both poster and oral presentations at national and international conferences.
