Wolfson Scholarships

The Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick is pleased to announce the following PhD funding opportunities for applicants applying for entry in Autumn 2015. The deadline for all these awards is Jan 12th 2015. Applicants apply for funding through the central university application form.

 

For Home/EU students:

 

Wolfson Scholarships:

The University is delighted to have been selected as one of the few institutions in the UK to be awarded Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in Humanities. Three scholarships of £27,666 per annum will be available to PhD students applying for entry in Autumn 2015 in the areas of History, Literature and Languages (This includes full payment of the academic course fees and a maintenance payment of the remaining funds). Awards are for 3 years. The Classics Department has an excellent track record in securing these awards – in 2014-15 we were awarded 2 Wolfson Scholarships.

 

CADRE Scholarships:

Warwick’s new Centre for Arts Doctoral Research Excellence (CADRE) is offering 12 CADRE Scholarships to PhD applicants in the Arts. Awards include full payment of Home/EU tuition fees and a maintenance stipend in line with RCUK rates (provisional £14,140* for full time award holders in 2015/16). Funding is for 3.5 years. These awards are only open to Home/EU applicants.

 

International Scholarships:

 

The University of Warwick is offering 25 Chancellor's International Scholarships to be awarded to the most outstanding international PhD applicants. Awards include full payment of overseas tuition fees (worth up to £17,130 at 13/14 rates) and a maintenance stipend in line with RCUK rates (provisional £14,140* for full time award holders in 2015/16). Funding is for 3.5 years.
